Join the Friends of Sturt River Landcare Group volunteers as we mark World Environment Day with a big, bold and beautiful community planting day on the Sturt River.
We're teaming up with City of Marion's Bioteam to plant close to 6500 local-native species to improve biodiversity and help cool our suburbs. This year we will recreate part of the original woodland of this part of the Adelaide Plains. Want to give us a hand?
We will add native sheoaks, grasses, herbs and wildflowers to boost biodiversity around the remaining River Redgums. These old trees have nesting hollows, so it's important that we protect them for the future.
Pack your gardening gloves, hand trowel and your community spirit for a great day outdoors, followed by a free sausage sizzle for all volunteers.
